IRLS 504-001    FOUNDATIONS OF LIBRARY & INFORMATION SERVICES

IRLS 504 is taken as the first course for all new SIRLS students.

Attendance is required at all IRLS 504-851 face to face sessions, 8am - 6pm.

Tucson: UA Campus: specific location to be announced

---1.  The class begins on June 8, 2009 with the Independent Study & Reading period.

---2.  The Tucson (on-campus) component is seven days, face to face, June 25 - July 1, 2009

---3.  The final project is due electronically, approximately July 7, 2009.

IRLS 564-001     CORPORATE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATION AND PRACTICE

Matarazzo

This course will begin on June 8th, have extensive readings to be completed before coming to campus, and meet face to face on the UA campus, June 15-19. Attendance is required at all IRLS 564-001 face to face sessions.

(This class begins in Pre-Session and concludes at the end of Summer II. The face to face component of this course will be in PHOENIX, at the Burton-Barr Central Library. Students will have course work to complete before the first face to face meeting on June 5th. There will be contact with the instructor throughout Pre-Session, Summer I, and Summer II.)

This virtual class will meet online through d2l and will begin in Pre-Session, continue through Summer I and conclude at the end of Summer II. Students are expected to log in regularly. This class may be presented for the completion of the MA degree.

IRLS 693-001 INTERNSHIP

Bell

Students need to submit applications for independent studies to the department and assigned academic advisors before requesting to be registered. Students will not be registered if department deadlines and requirements are not met. Students must have completed 12 units of credit at SIRLS and be in good academic standing. Internships begin in Summer I and conclude at the end of Summer II.

IRLS 694-001 PRACTICUM

Bell

Students need to submit applications for independent studies to the department and assigned academic advisors before requesting to be registered. Students will not be registered if department deadlines and requirements are not met. Students must have completed 12 units of credit at SIRLS and be in good academic standing. Practica begin in Summer I and conclude at the end of Summer II.

IRLS 699-001 INDEPENDENT STUDY

Bell

Students need to submit applications for independent studies to the department and assigned academic advisors before requesting to be registered. Students will not be registered if department deadlines and requirements are not met. Students must have completed 12 units of credit at SIRLS and be in good academic standing. Independent studies  begin in Summer I and conclude at the end of Summer II.
